Jer 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

Jesus will go into great depth and tell John and us what He likes and do not like about them. Please note that the message to the seven Churches represent the Churches of today because in Revelation 22:16 Christ again addresses the Churches.  So the Churches  are still here on Earth. Nobody flew away  as  the rapture theory people think.
Rev.22:16  I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David,

                     [and] the bright and morning star.

You will find that Christ only loves and finds no fault with only two Churches because of what they teach.  2 out of 7 is not very good. So, see if you can find the Church you belong to as far as what they teach ok.  Because I’m sure you have never been taught what the 2 Churches that Jesus loves teaches.

Now  let’s ask for a word of wisdom from our Heavenly Father in Jesus name, Amen.

Rev2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars (angel of the church) in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; ( Churches)

Jesus is in the midst of the 7 Churches. He is in charge. On judgment day, the judging will start at the pulpit.

Angel = a messenger, envoy, one who is sent, an angel, a messenger from God.

Ephesus = Greek for Ephesos {ef'-es-os} a maritime city of Asia Minor, capital of Ionia and under the Romans, situated on the Icarian Sea between Smyrna and Miletus.

Rev2:2  I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

John is writing as told to by Jesus. Jesus is telling this Church that He knows how they are trying, but the Church cannot stand, nor get rid of the evil people saying they are ones sent forth from God, Fake Disciples, “The Holy men”. "The know it all people".

These teachers or preachers are trying to place their teachings in the Church to teach what they want to teach and not what Jesus taught them to teach with His word. Did you ever here a teacher or preacher say I am a messenger from God. Just listen and follow me. I’ll set you free. In other words fake teachers who just have big heads. Who are they?

Anyone who puts themselves before God by saying I first, I this, I that, I heard from Jesus today, etc.

Rev2:3  And hast borne, (to bear what is burdensome) and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured,( does the work for Jesus) and hast not fainted. (did not quit nor gave up) Again, these represent the Churches of today. Christ knows how this Church is trying yet the Church puts up with these people.

Rev2:4  Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

This Church is trying, but now Christ is telling them they have a big problem, they left their first love, and they left out God and His word.  How did they do that?

They went after the traditions of men or other teachings forgetting the true word. Nothing changes. This still goes on today by false teachings.

If a person leaves His first love (God, Christ) it does not make Him very happy because once you lose the love for Christ it is so easy for the evil spirits of satan to lead a person to sin follow another God or even follow a man in the flesh.

If what a Church (man) teaches does not align with God's word there is a big problem. Do not follow the traditions of man.

Rev2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

This Church (people) has a lot of repenting to do and get back into God’s word. They must stop following the traditions of men and stick to the true word of Jesus Christ. Does this happen today? Yes, it sure does. Just turn your TV on and watch some of the garbage of some teachers and Preachers.

For example, satan will return before Christ as you will see later. So if satan returns first and this Church teaches that Christ comes first the people that belong to this Church will follow satan therefore leaving their first love.

satan returns at the 6th trumpet. Christ returns at the 7th trumpet as you will see later in this book.

Our God is a loving God. He is telling this Church to repent and get back into good standing with God and teach the true word and ask Jesus to forgive them.

Rev2:6  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

What? God hates. Yes He does if you leave Him.

Nicolaitan = Greek- Nikolaites {nik-ol-ah-ee'-tace} destruction of people a sect mentioned in Rev.2:15 and here who were charged with holding the error of Balaam, (Baal was a very bad idol worship) casting a stumbling block before the church of God by upholding the liberty of eating things sacrificed to idols as well as committing fornication.

God hates them for what they do and did.    All through the Old Testament people fell to Baal worship.

Rev2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

There is a chance for this Church, or for some of the people that belong to this Church if they overcome and repent. They just have to ask Jesus for forgiveness. Jesus is that tree of life.

Do not be deceived for we all should want to enter into the paradise of God at the end of the 1000 years of teaching on Earth in our spiritual body in the New Heaven, Jerusalem. Hang on; we’ll get to it.

Now for the 2’nd Church. I might add that if you have any questions about something we are going over and don't quite get it send me an email and you will be sent a special study on the subject you are having trouble with.

Rev2:8  And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Smyrna = "myrrh" an Ionian city of Asia Minor, on the Aegean Sea, 40 miles (65 km) north of Ephesus
Christ sure is alive and sits at the right hand of God. "Which was dead” He died on the cross by the hands of the ones who are of the synagogue of satan, The Kenites, the sons of Cain.

You will find that Christ only loves two Churches. This is one of them because of what they teach. It is important to learn the parable of the Fig tree and to know who the good figs (people) are and who the bad figs (people) are.

Again, we will cover this.

Rev2:9  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan.

This Church has a few problems and is not very good as far as having income. However, they are rich because of what they teach. They teach who say they are Jews, but are from the synagogue of satan.

This Church for what it teaches is very hard to find in the world today.

I know because I went to many Churches in my time and never found one that teaches what this verse says. A few came close though.

The people that are doing the blasphemy against God are from the seed line of Cain and his father is satan as you will see.

This next part might get very confusing and is very hard to explain everything in one sentence so I'll say for now if you do not understand something just put it aside for now or send me and email on what you want to know more about.

Jews in the Greek = Y@huwdah {yeh-hoo-daw'} Judah = "praised" the son of Jacob by Leah. The tribe descended from Judah, the son of Jacob.

The kingdom comprised of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, which occupied the southern part of Canaan (now Israel).

After the nation split upon the death of Solomon, the tribe of Judah was taken captive by the King of Babylon about 400 B.C. (Iraq of today.)   Judah returned to Israel in the year of 1948, thus the start of this end generation. God said they would return in Jeremiah24 and become a Nation. And it is so. The Nation of Israel was born.

These are the true Jewish people.

Did you ever here of the twelve tribes of Israel that God brought out of captivity from Egypt through Moses?

Ten of these twelve tribes (other than Judah) went into captivity about 600 B.C. by the Assyrians (Syria of today). Upon being no longer in captivity the 10 tribes later crossed over the Caucasus mountains later settling in the USA, Europe, Canada, England, and so on. Mainly the Christian Nations of today. This is where are word Caucasian came from.

Now the people that Christ is describing as "from the synagogue of Satan" are the sons of Cain who was the first murderer and whose father is non other then satan.

A synagogue should be a house of prayer, but the Jews that say they are Jews but are not, turned it into their own little world of teachings. The teachings are against God and Jesus Christ.

Can you see the same thing going on today? Just take a look at the news. Can our children say a prayer in school today?

Below should help in better understanding what is being said. Again, I know it's confusing, but just put it aside what you don't understand for now ok.

Genesis 2:9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The tree of knowledge of good and evil was satan who at one time in the first Earth age was set over the throne of God, by God to protect it.

Then satan fell or tried to overthrow God thus ending the first earth age. We are in the second Earth age and there is one more to go. Same Earth, 3 world ages.

Now Eve took part (wholly seduced) of this tree (satan) in the Garden and Adam took part with Eve thus having a child of satan who’s name was Cain, She again, or continued giving birth to Abel by Adam.

So Cain and Abel were born just seconds or minutes apart. No apple was eaten. What did Adam and Eve cover? Their private parts not their mouth.

So there goes the apple story. Cain then killed Abel becoming the first murderer thus beginning the start of the mark of the beast.

Gen4:15  And the LORD said unto him, (Cain) Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Cain is the son of satan and the Kenites (sons of Cain) are of His tribe which is against anything that pertains to our God and Jesus.  This is part of the parable of the fig tree. The good figs are the children of God by Adam and the bad figs are from the children by satan.  This is why we are in these flesh bodies today, to choose good or evil.

In plain words, to choose satan or God, through Christ.

Rev2:10  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Again, we will get to this later, but for now I’ll just touch on it a little. When satan returns and sets up his throne in Jerusalem there will be some people (God’s elect) that will be delivered up to satan’s synagogue and to satan's throne to try to make God’s children worship him as God and Jesus.

This will go on for 10 days for the people that our delivered up.

Christ is telling His elect to stand tall and do not worship satan. If they do Christ will give to them everlasting life.

A lot of people (souls) will go into the lake of fire because they will follow satan. I pray not.

Rev2:11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

The second death is the death of the soul. Up in smoke forever and ever. God does not want to kill any of His children for He created us in His image. So think about this. We have His features. We are His children.

He is our Father.

Rev2:12  And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

Pergamos = "height or elevation” a city of Mysia Minor, in Asia Minor.  Christ’s tongue is the sharp sword with two edges. It is His

Word, which cuts both ways. The truth through the Holy Spirit for those who want to hear and learn the truth; and for people who do not want to hear, He will allow them to believe a lie and will cut them down in due season.
Hbr 4:12  For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Remember, John is in His Spiritual body and taken to the day Jesus returns, which I feel is not so far off.

Rev2:13  I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan's seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

This candlestick or Church that holds fast the name of our Lord, But satan’s people is among them along where the seat of satan will be in the future.

Antipas = "like the father" - a Christian of Pergamos who suffered martyrdom.

Now Anti means instead of, so Antipas was against satan and all that stood for satan.

God's seat will be in Jerusalem when He returns.  satan returns first, so satan will be in God's seat as in the 2 verses below.

2Thess2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2Thess2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Rev2:14  But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

Balaam was a Priest that loved money and this Church holds the doctrine of Balaam. So! This Church had a problem. Money. Did you ever hear a teacher of this doctrine? Send me $30 and I’ll send you a special prayer, or send this amount to upgrade our Church, or whatever. This Church better stop their ways or Christ will stop them. The Children of Israel are the 12 Tribes.

Rev2:15  So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

They also hold fast to something that God hates. This Church or Candlestick had better wake up.
Nicolaitanes = "destruction of people", a sect mentioned in Rev. 2:6, who were charged with holding the error of Balaam, casting a stumbling block before the church of God by upholding the liberty of eating things sacrificed to idols as well as committing fornication.

Rev2:16  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

This verse say’s it all.

Rev2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it].

manna = "what is it"  (Hebrew) the food that nourished the Israelites for forty years in the wilderness. The manna fell from Heaven. This same manna is the truth if you want to hear and is hidden to those who go against God. Christ will give to eat of the manna to whom ever overcomes.

This Stone has two meanings: A new name we will receive at the marriage supper as written next.

Rev19:9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
When the true wedding takes place the ones that were, and are true to God in Jesus name will be given a new name.
The stone also means a small worn smooth stone, a pebble that is worn smooth over a long period of time and means to count as the number of the beast. In other words satan and his followers. The Kenites, the sons of Cain.
Now you have an idea what the Churches of today should be teaching.

Rev2:18  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass.

Thyatira = "odour of affliction" a colony of Macedonia Greeks, situated between Sardis and Pergamos on the river Lycus; its inhabitants gained their living by traffic and the art of dyeing purple fabric.
Christ is pure for His feet are as fine brass and He kicks out of the way the impure. Christ is still watching these Churches today.

Rev2:19  I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first.

This Church is really trying and are really getting the word out. The question is what work is this Church doing? The work of God or the traditions of man.  Now your works is the only thing that goes with you when you pass on and return to the Father.

Rev20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev2:20  Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Jezebel = "Baal exalts" or "Baal is husband to" - this woman Jezebel persecuted God's prophets and worshipped Baal. Baal worship was and is a very bad thing for people to do.  We will read more about Jezebel in Chapter13.
So it seems some in this Church teach against what the Prophets taught, like you don't have to read or study the book of Revelation because you’re going to fly away; or, forget about the old Testament.

Now an idol can be anything that is put before God such as a car, home, person, or whatever.

Rev2:21  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

God gave this Church plenty of time to repent, but did not. Our Father has patience. They still teach the same thing and the same way. This church no doubt teaches one verse a week. Christ died on the cross for our sins. All they have to do is repent by asking our Father to forgive them.

Rev2:22  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

When satan returns before Jesus this Church will follow him. They will be cast in the bed of satan. Meaning they will follow him and do his work believing he is Jesus.

The return of satan will be the great tribulation that most people think wrong about.  More later.

Rev2:23  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

death = to be spiritually dead, to believe not the word of God, death is satan or satan is death, death of the soul. So the ones in this Church that do not follow the word of God will follow satan and die a spiritual death.
What a shame.

Death is satan as stated in the verse below.  Satan wants to take as many souls with him as he can to the lake of fire. Eternal death.  Remember, your works is the only thing that goes with you when you enter into Heaven. Christ came to defeat death as written next.
Hebrew2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he (Jesus) also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Rev2:24  But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

Thank God not all people believe in the ways of this Church.  God is against false teachings and those who speak at the pulpits will be judged first because they are to teach His children the Truth.  Jesus is very hard on this Church. Why? God does not want to kill the souls of any of his children.

Rev2:25  But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come.

This goes for everyone. Hold fast till Christ returns. Satan returns at the 6th trumpet. Christ returns at the 7th Trumpet. So six comes before seven.

Rev2:26  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Jesus has a reward for those who follow Him. Keep in the works of our Father. Do His deeds and be rewarded.
keepeth His works until the end.  When is the end of this Earth age? When Jesus returns. John, the writer of Revelation is at the time seeing the Lords day and what will take place.

Rev2:27  And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

When Christ returns He will not return on an ass as He did when He entered Jerusalem, as His crucifixion was near. He will return on a white stallion and will rule with a rod of iron and kick out all that is evil.

Rev2:28  And I will give him the morning star.

Christ will give to he that follows Him the light, the morning star, and the truth. There is another morning star that always wanted to be God, he that spreads false teachings. He that is evil, and that is Satan.

Don't be fooled by false teachings.  Don't follow the traditions of man. Satan once was over the Mercy Seat of God, His Throne. Isaiah knew this. How? Isaiah was there in the first earth age when Satan went bad.

Isaiah14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, (morning star) son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

 Rev2:29  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
